One day at a time

If you are a runner or ever have been, then you know those days that you just feel like you might need to hang those running shoes up? Those days that make you feel like you don't even have the right to be out there at all? I know that feeling. But I also know that feeling on the opposite side of the spectrum and yesterday was one of those for me. We did our speedwork and I OWNED it. Like a boss. I felt like Rocky and had a million tiny little spectators cheering in my head. I am my own worst critic, but thankfully, also know how to be my own best cheerleader.

I decided to do some planks afterwards since the Pilates class was canceled yesterday due to ice. (Side note: I am LOVING Pilates. Never did I think I would be able to say that. One day I suppose I need to try yoga) and killed it with my first ever 3 minute plank. I held it for 1 minute, did shoulder taps for a minute and held it for another minute. Matt came in as soon as I got done and I joked with him that he just waited until I was done to finish. Because while he might smoke me in running, I've got him on the planks. Hey, I'll take what I can get!

By the time we left for the gym yesterday I was about to go crazy. I think the boys were taking it better than I was. At one point Connor even asked me what my deal was. I was getting to the point that if one more person said "MAMA, MAMA, MAMA, MAMA" or even went as far as to touch me, I was going to collapse into a hot mess. Not pretty, but just being honest.

He found his bumbo and decided to take advantage of it. I was cracking up!

It doesn't help that Connor refuses to sleep past 6:15, which leaves me little to no time to gather myself in the mornings. I think if I truly wanted that time I might have to get up at 4:30, which I'm not totally opposed to, I just worry that since his room is right here connected to the kitchen and Living Room he would hear me (because we all know it would need to start with a cup of coffee and the Keurig might be the loudest contraption ever) and just try to come out even earlier. I guess I'll never know until I try.

Never one to miss out on getting his picture taken. Little limelight lover.

In hindsight there wasn't really anything bad about the day. No whining. No fights. I am pretty sure it was just me. But, thankfully, today is a new day! (And all the mama's said, "Amen!")

Weekend rewind

Our Monday morning is starting quite different. I am sitting in the oversized chair with my husband lounging on the couch. His boss texted him this morning and told him to hold off on coming in this morning due to the weather. When they show the traffic map on the news you can't even see most of the roads due to all of the wreck icons. Scary stuff, that ice. So glad they aren't making him drive in it. It's looking like we are just now getting what everyone else already has, so we might just have an extra day with daddy! No complaints from me, that's for sure!

We had a good weekend. Nothing too crazy, and actually a little slow, which was nice. Friday we got to keep our Ella girl. Ella is Connor's "girlfriend" and they have so much fun together. Cade loves her just as much and I'm pretty sure asks about her about 5 times a day on average! They will go from being superheroes (Connor's choice) to playing school or any other imaginative game (Ella's choice), which I think is why they play so well together. Honestly, they are like siblings. They can be fighting one second and laughing like crazy the next. It's so much fun to see their little friendship grow.

We started off Saturday with our long runs. Matt set out to go 7 and accidentally went 9. Or at least that is his story ;) I ran with Becky, but was a little worried beforehand that she would be a little too fast for me. Surprisingly, I held my own and kept up... and felt great!

I still laugh about the fact that I have a goal to keep up with my mother in law! We are officially starting our training program today (well, assuming we can make it to the gym later today) and today is speed work. I wasn't going to do any type of speed work just because I couldn't care less about my time, but I think it will help with my overall strength.

That night we made a very last minute decision to use some Outback gift cards. Outback is one of the easiest places to find a pretty close to Paleo meal and one of the few places that have not made Matt sick (he has Celiacs and eating out is pretty hard for him. Not impossible, just a little difficult). As we were walking out I heard the woman behind us say, "Oh, look at those boys. They must be twins." I cannot tell you how often we get asked that or I overhear someone saying it. I guess it is because I have them dressed alike as often as possible, but it always makes me laugh. Probably because I don't see too many similarities between them!

Connor woke up in the middle of the night and I think just gagged on all off the drainage he had stuck in his throat and made him sick. So, needless to say our day yesterday consisted of sitting, playing, sitting and playing.  And lots and lots of cuddling.

Love these two!

My boy turns 4 this weekend. I can't even begin to believe it, but I guess I better start trying!

Also, there is a giveaway in the post below for the book Chasing God by Angie Smith. Check it out for your chance to win!

Five on Friday::Chasing God Book review::GIVEAWAY!!!

TGIF!!! I am going to the Melting Pot tonight for a salad and dessert (definitely non paleo. definitely worth it!) and I cannot wait! Girl talk and chocolate. Yes, please!!!

I'm linking up here again today for Five on Friday!

{one} I just ordered the boys' Peter Pan birthday invitations and am going to get started on the stuff I need to put together for the games portion of the party. The invites are kind of vintage Peter Pan and I am in love!  I am getting so excited about all of it! One of the things that I thought I was going to give up on this year was making the cake. See, I'm a DIY'er. I love doing everything AND it saves money. Total win-win. But, this year, I was determined to let that go. UNTIL I got the quote price back for the cake I wanted and it was $299!!!! Umm.. no thank you. Looks like I better start reading up on how to work with fondant! (insert wide eyed, scared emoticon!!) Thankfully, my sister in law is going to help!

{two} As I had mentioned before we are signed up for another half marathon in April. I'm not going to lie.. I have not been crazy excited about it. Until I ran in a 15K (9 miles) a couple of weeks ago and got bit by the racing bug again. Something about a race is just so much fun. And I'm not even hugely competitive. Much more so with myself than I am with others. Anyway, it's becoming fairly obvious that I am about to have to start giving up some of my workout classes and focus more on running, which I'm still not thrilled about. But, you know what would make it better? These pants.

found here

I mean. Come on! I'm pretty sure they are more for yoga/pilates/barre, but I'd be willing to give it a shot!

{three} I am mentally starting a countdown for our Florida trip this summer. A few nights ago I looked up the house again and noticed that they had added a playground and bikes for you to ride around town. I know I haven't mentioned this (because really, why would I?!?!), but one of my dreams is to ride a bike around destin in a cute little sundress. Bonus points if it is a vintage bike with a basket full of fresh flowers in the front. Call me silly or easy to please. I'll accept either!

{four} A few weeks ago I mentioned that I was wanting to read Chasing God by Angie Smith. A few days after that, I got asked if I wanted to review her book. If you read her blog, you know you are going to laugh and have an "aha" moment all at the same time. This isn't one of those books that you'll read once and be done. It is one that you'll come back to many times.  It's a book that you read and feel like you are sitting in front of her and having a conversation. One that is raw and honest. One that isn't sugarcoated, but doesn't leave you feeling like you can't be the Christian you desire to be. One that will undoubtedly reassure you of the love our God has for us. A love that everyone dreams of and the kind that can only come from Him. Angie states early on that

"The goal of this book is not to present you with a formula for living out Christianity. It's to offer my thoughts on the difference between looking for Him and looking at Him."

If the amount of highlighted sentences in this book are any indication, I'd say she did a great job.

{five} In addition to reviewing the book, she also offered a book to giveaway!

Jenna's 4th Annual Commenting Challenge: Day One

So, yeah. I admit it. I am in a blogging rut. Trust me...there is plenty to talk about. I am just too tired to try and put it all together! SO, I thought I'd join in on Jenna's commenting challenge. Today's topic is "about me".  Here goes....

Hi! I'm Kelli and I have been blogging for about 5 years now. I am a stay at home mom to our two boys, Connor (3) and Cade (1), and blog mostly about our everyday life. I am married to my best friend, whom I met the first day of our freshman year! We became friends first and started dating soon thereafter. We have been together now for 11 years {5 dating, almost 6 married} and I can't imagine doing life without him.

I love to read, whether it be books or blogs. I have been known to read a blog from the beginning.. just like I would a book and I'm sure that if you're around me long enough you will hear me say, "I read on so and so's blog..." more than once. I also have a bad habit of picking a TV show and starting from the beginning and watching each and every episode until I get caught up.

I have a slight addiction to coffee and consume anywhere from 2 to 3 cups a day. My favorite way to drink it right now is steaming hot with a few too many dollops of home made whip cream. The plus to this is that it has cut my Starbucks bills in half!! I also loved iced coffee in the summer with a dash of my creamer of choice... all in a mason jar with a straw, of course!

I am new to the exercise/getting fit world and am loving it. I am training for a half marathon right now and go to bootcamp usually twice a week on top of that. You miiiiiight say I am slightly obsessed with it, actually. In a good way, I think! I am just enjoying being more in shape and being able to run around the yard with my boys and not get tired!

Above all, I love the Lord. He has blessed us tremendously with this life and there isn't a day that goes by that I'm not thankful for it!

Oh! I almost forgot. As for other forms of social media, you can find me on Instagram here and on Pinterest here!

Weekend recap

Well, here we are almost 2 weeks later from my last post. We have been busy and I have had other things to do during my free time and blogging just kind of took a back burner. I'm oddly ok with that, although I still fear that I will regret it years down the road when I look back at this time. I think it is easy to say that I will definitely remember being busy!

We had a great weekend. I love summer. The long days, being able to do more outdoors and the sunshine. Oh, I love the sunshine! We started off the weekend with a trip to the pool at the gym. We met BeBe, Aunt April, Uncle Josh, Aunt Rachel and Rowen there. Connor had a blast going down this slide and did it repeatedly for two hours.

Cade just held onto my finger and walked all around the pool. He wanted to let go, but obviously couldn't since he still hasn't decided to start walking! I can already tell that once he does I better get ready to run after him. He is going to be into everything! After a couple of hours at the pool, we headed over to BeBe's house to let the boys nap and do a little painting project for her house.

I wasn't sure how Connor would do with the finger painting since he is typically isn't a fan of his hands being dirty, but he did great!
Rowen and Aunt Rachel

He, of course, picked green... his favorite color!
And he picked orange for Cade since that is his second favorite color!

The finished products! Well, before we took the tape off. Cade was covered in paint!

Saturday I woke up early and snuck out to get my run in. 6 miles done! It is probably the best run I have ever had and am already looking forward to the next long one! The rest of the day was spent shopping with BeBe and relaxing. Cade has really taken an interest in blocks lately. He loves to stack them and then go crazy and knock them down. He will only stack about two before he just can't hold it any more and knock them down.

But, he also loves pushing the cylinder through the hole in the square block.

It is so cute to see his concentration and watch those little hands work.

I think he probably pushed that cylinder through 20 times.

After church on Sunday, we came back to the house to put the boys down for an earlier nap so we could surprise them and go to the pool again. This time with daddy in tow! The nap got a little bit of a later start due to some wrestling time.

They were pounding away on Matt's back just dying laughing.

I think Cade enjoyed it the most. HA! We are not going to have to worry about this one, I don't think!

Once again, the pool was a big hit. Connor slid down the slide, jumped off the side by himself (going under the water in the process) and Cade even went down that slide, going under at the end. Cade is the one that ended up crying when we left. He loves it!

We have a busy week ahead of us. A lot of cleaning, packing and organizing. We leave for Florida this weekend and I cannot wait!!!

Weekend fun!

We had a great weekend! Friday was just spent relaxing and getting the house cleaned before the weekend. I love not having to clean on the weekends! Cade has started standing up all the time now. Although his favorite game is to stand up and then willingly free fall into anything nearby. He is such a little dare devil!

Friday afternoon I dropped the boys off at BeBe's and D-daddy's. Matt and I went out to Edley's BBQ with Brent and Rachel. Rowen was also at BeBe and D-Daddy's too, so the parents went out while the grandparents kept all of our kids. Three at 3 and under. Those are some brave grandparents!! We had a great time hanging out with Brent and Rachel and were the last ones to leave (leaving with containers of their delicious mac and cheese. I'm going to start hanging out late at restaurants more often!)

Saturday morning Matt woke up early to go play golf (as in 5:15 early. Those boys are CRAZY!) and I slept in until 8, which is late for me! I took a quick run before picking the boys up and it felt awesome! Miles 1-2 were awesome, 2.5-3.5 were kind of hard, but mile 4-5 was awesome. I'm actually super excited to start adding those miles on. Everyone has told me that something just clicks around mile 5 to 6 and if that last mile was any indication, I totally believe them!

We were having some friends over to hang out and while I was getting some last minute things ready, I looked out and saw this. Connor's day was made!!!

As soon as everyone got here we just hung out outside, ate and relaxed. My kind of night!

Aren't these boys precious?! Sweet little friends!!!

Once the sun went down we made Smores.. one of my ultimate weaknesses! The boys loved the graham crackers the most. Cade was hilarious all laid back eating that cracker!

This is the kind of scene that makes me happy!

We had such a fun time and I can't wait to do it again!

Sundays are always pretty rough on Cade, but apparently they are rough on Cade and Daddy! I wondered why it was taking so long for Matt to get him to sleep until I went back there and saw this. Melt my heart!

The boys both took really good naps and I literally laid around and did nothing. Once Cade woke up, he just played in his diaper. Nothing I love more than an *almost* naked baby! I mean, look at that belly!!

He took about 4 steps one time last night. After that, it was 2 steps and a leap. I don't think it will be long before he is walking. He is just waiting until he is 100% stable, just like he did with crawling. I just laugh thinking about all the trouble he is going to get into once he does start walking. I better enjoy the little less destructive version while I can ;)!!

The days are long, but the years fly by

Have you ever heard that phrase? I had, but I didn't know how true it was until I had kids. Not all days are long, but then there are those that "long" doesn't even describe. Either way, it doesn't matter because the years truly do fly by. As I was thinking about that a few days ago, I was also thinking about all the things that make me smile during these days we are in now. I know what these days consist of are going to change and I don't want to forget some of the things now.

**If we are outside and a loud noise (plane, big truck, etc) goes by Connor will cup his hand around his ear and say, "Do you hear that, Mommy? It's a _____". His hand cupping his ear is so sweet to me.

**Cade isn't standing on his own yet, but right before you pick him up (whether he be in his bed or standing holding onto something else) he will let go and be standing perfectly fine on his own. I love that he abandons all sense of security because he knows we are about to pick him up.

**Now that Connor has a big boy bed, he is a little bit harder to put to bed. Which is all of our fault because I don't think either one of us can deny him the act of cuddling! We don't lay down with him every night and some nights he will go right to sleep. A few nights ago he didn't and started yelling this out:
"Mommy! I forgot to tell you somefing!
*30 second pause*
Mommy? Is that you? Are you coming? Are you? Are you, Mommy? Arrrrrreeeee yoooooouuu?
*30 second pause*
Mommy, do you hear me? Are you hear me? I have to tell you somefing. Ummm... Mommy? You forgot to do a Bible story. You forgot.

By this point, I was dying laughing. Of course, I went in there and told that sweet boy a Bible story! (and, yes, we had forgotten to read out of his Bible. Well, I had forgotten. He, clearly, had not!)

**I have mentioned before that we call Cade the destructor. He has his normal areas he likes to destroy. The magazines, the tuppeware cabinet, the puzzle basket, any and every bookshelf and pretty much anything else that is within his reach. As soon as we see him going towards those areas all we have to say is "Cade Daniel" and he kicks it into high gear just laughing the entire way. He crawls so fast that I'm really not sure how he doesn't get tripped up over his hands.

**If Connor wants to go outside, he will go into my room and bring me my flip flops. Only he calls them "flippers" and he demands to put them on for me. To the point that if I put them on myself he wants me to take them off so he can put them on. I sure do love that sweet heart!

**A few days a week Cade will wake up earlier than Connor during nap time. On those days I have to do everything in my power to keep him from banging on Connor's door. There is no amount of distraction that will make him forget about it! While they already fuss at each other.. a lot.. he sure does love having his big brother around!

Of course, in addition to all of that I hope I will never forget the way Connor wakes up, hair going every which way, and comes out of his room carrying all of his stuffed animals. How his face lights up when I get excited to see him. How he throws his animals down to give me hug.

How Cade will crawl to me and lay his head in my lap and give me the open mouth slobbery kiss.

Yes, these boys keep me super busy. There are days that I don't sit down except to eat, which can make for a very long day. But I know with how fast these years go by that, before long, the days are going to look much, much different and I will long for these days of so much interaction!

Par-tay, advice and good news!!

As I mentioned on Friday, this weekend is Cade's first birthday party. I have got all of the major things done and just have a few little things here and there to do. I am determined to have it all done by Saturday, which would only leave me with set up! I know, though, that I will be sitting there Friday night making more stuff as I go along just because I have the time to. At least I know that about myself, right?

The weather is now saying scattered thunderstorms with only a 40% chance of rain, which means a last minute decision on the location, probably. After Connor's party being in the high 70s in mid-March, I just knew Cade's was going to be scorching hot in mid May. But it is only a high of 69! I really can't believe that we are having such cool weather right now. I told Matt last night that it doesn't really feel like May at all.. more like end of February!

Hopefully we will have some sunny days thrown in this week. It rained all weekend and all day yesterday. The boys do so much better when we are able to go outside and play. I do better because I live for sunshine AND the house stays clean since they aren't inside to destroy it!

Speaking of destroying, Connor and I had a rough day yesterday. It all started at school when he paid me no attention when it came to obeying. It was like I was talking to a brick wall! Then when we got home I told him he needed to pick up the toys he had just dumped out of his toy box in his room. Y'all. I wish I would have taken a picture. Not only did he not clean up, but he made a mess twice the size. He kept telling me, "I just want you to help me" or "I just want you to DO it." That, to me, means that he is used to either a) it just being done for him or b) me helping him and doing most of it. Probably both.  So, I put my foot down and told him that I was not going to help him. Is 3 too young to make him clean up his toys by himself? I did end up helping him put all of the books up since he can't seem to figure out how to put them back on the shelf. Other than that, I just sat on his bed and guided him. Baby steps, I suppose. Any advice here would be much appreciated!

As for the good news, we found out we are getting a new niece or nephew this December. Brent and Rachel are expecting #2!!! I cannot wait to hear if it is a boy or girl!!! They told us by mailing out this card to everyone. It was pretty cute as it was the LAST thing I was expecting to get in the mail! Of course, we called them immediately so I could get more details!

image taken from Rachel's blog since I am too lazy to take a picture of our card!

Their kids will be almost exactly the age difference between ours. We have had someone in our family pregnant since almost every year since 2009! Me in 2009, Rachel in 2011, Me in 2011 and 2012, and now her again in 2013. Which means when we go out as a family we will have 4 kids 4 and under! With 4 siblings, this is going to end up to be one large family!!! And, I LOVE it!

I'm off to do some puzzles with the big boy while baby brother is napping. Here's to a better day!

Hodge Podge

I've got a lot of random things swirling around and none of them are anywhere near enough important to hold their own blog post. So hodge podge, mish mash, whatever you want to call it, it is.

***
Cade's first birthday party is next weekend. Of course, I want to have it outside like I did Connor's but I'm not sure the weather is going to cooperate this time around. Oddly enough, I am at peace with that (as I totally was not with Connor's), so that is nice. I am having fun with all the decor so far. What's even better is I am going to get to keep it up in his room afterwards. Total win in my book. Here is one of the projects I have been working on
My BIL and SIL found a high chair at the flea market a while back and were gracious enough to let me borrow (AND paint it how I like) it for the party. I am also going to use it for his one year pics!
***

We cancelled our satellite service a couple of weeks ago. I immediately started watching Downton Abbey on a free Hulu Plus trial and for the first few days of watching the show I totally thought it was DowntoWn Abbey. I just thought they pronounced it funny!! This is where if it were someone else I would say something like, "Bless", so I suppose I should say it about myself here! Anyway, got caught up with the show within a week and I cannot believe I have to wait until next spring to see what happens. While in the throes of watching it, my husband texted me this.

Seriously. Could not love this man more!

Going back to canceling our TV service, has anyone else done that? We have these HIDEOUS rabbit ears in the house (how's that for some new home decor), but are definitely thinking we are going to be getting one to go outside to get a better signal. Now we just can't seem to decide which free streaming program to use. Hulu Plus is nice, but really all of the shows I would watch on there are the ones we will get for free. And on the rare occasion that I can't watch it when it is live, I can plug the computer into the TV and watch it on the networks website. Netflix is ok for movies and old TV shows, but not current ones. Amazon Instant video doesn't seem much better. We also have Apple TV and I hear people ranting and raving over it, but I must have missed something. Besides Hulu, Netflix and You Tube is there anything else you can do on it? So, if you have also joined the ranks of the cable/satellite-less, please share what you do!

I was thinking the other day that it would be so awesome if you got a free e-reader download of a book when you bought it (the actual hard copy, that is).  I am one that still enjoys holding the actual book in my hand when I am at home, but when I am out I would much prefer to have it on my phone. I'm sure there are a million reasons why this would never work, but all of those reasons are above my head at the time being.

***

Matt has started running with me. This makes me happier than he knows. We are training for a half marathon in October and although I think he will smoke me, I am excited to have the motivation to continue and just to be able to do this with him. So there you are hubster. It is on the internet, now. IT. IS. HAPPENING!

In addition to the running, I have started using the My Fitness Pal app to track my eating. Well, it has rocked my world! I turned down a cupcake yesterday merely because I didn't want to have to put it in and see how many calories it is. I don't even know who I am anymore! I don't have any friends on there yet, but am thinking as soon as I start feeling fickle about the whole thing I should start adding them. Nothing like someone seeing what you are eating to keep you motivated!

I also need to add in some kind of strength training. I did P90x -Ab Ripper X a couple of days ago. I didn't think I had done it right since I didn't feel anything the rest of that day or the next, but I can now feel it deep, deeep, deeeeeeeeeep under all of that little layer we shall call post pregnancy love. Since we have a gym membership, I really need to take advantage of it and get into some of those classes. Or have someone teach me the best way to use all of those machines!

***

I am loving this weather we have been having lately. We have had a lot of rainy days, but thankfully it has stayed somewhat warm. I have tried to take advantage of it and play outside as much as I can until it becomes so hot that you have to be in water kind of days. A few days ago we had a picnic and Connor was beyond pumped. He picked out our food and it was a sandwich, corn on the cob, broccoli,  carrots and applesauce. Seriously?! That kid loves veggies!
I had to add this next picture, because there are moments when both of the boys are crawling all over me and I just want to scream because I need some space. But for the most part, I hope I never forget how it feels to have your child love you so much they just have to always be touching you. He sat there almost the entire picnic with his little hand on my leg.

I'm sure I could come up with about 50 other little random things that have floated through this mom of two brain, but I'll spare you all of that excitement. Hope y'all have a great weekend!!!

Weekends are my favorite

Goodness gracious, I love the weekends. Daddy is home, which means so many things. First and foremost, I love getting to laugh at these boys with him. They really are so stinking funny and I love getting to share that with him. I love the moments that we look at each other and just revel in the fact that these boys are ours. This life is ours. Secondly, 2 more hands! Yep, I am blessed with a very involved daddy.. something I am thankful for every single day!

Here is what we were up to!

The wild one...

Oh, my Cade man. You really can't turn your back on this one. Within minutes of me taking this picture the top (yes, the top. notice that left foot propped on the bag of blocks. Brother was using it to reach the top shelf) and middle shelf were almost empty. Took me much longer to put them back up.

He loves the dishwasher. As in will hightail it to the kitchen if he hears me open it. I figured out it was the water, so I solved that little problem. Yes, he got soaking wet, but I also got to unload the dishwasher without him pulling the entire bottom rack out.

My big boy...
I didn't have plans to turn Connor's bed into a toddler bed, but for some reason I just decided to this weekend. We are going to purchase a full size mattress soon, but figured why not take off the front of his crib until then? He was PUMPED! I knew he would do fine because he has been sleeping in a big bed at grandparent's houses whenever we visit. I just love being able to cuddle him up in the covers for our nighttime routine. I can't wait until it's a bed I can actually climb into, too!

Good food and family fun...

My father in law texted me Saturday morning asking if we wanted to meet at Cracker Barrel. We asked Connor if he wanted to go and as soon as he heard the words Cracker Barrel, he was running into his room to get dressed. He loves that place. The fact that Rowen was there (he had stayed the night with BeBe and D-daddy), was an awesome bonus. Each time we are around Rowen gets better than the last.  Their interaction just keeps growing and I love that!

Snow fun...

When we got home the snow that had been slowly falling had accumulated on our patio furniture. Enough so that we were able to make some snowballs. I was super shocked that Connor wanted to play outside in it. Just further proof that he is growing up!

Love the bottom right. Truly shows his silly personality!

Afterwards Matt had to burn some brush and Connor wanted to go out with him. I put some coveralls on top of his other clothes and I could not quit laughing at how big he was. He told me, "I can't walk, Mommy. I'm too big!"

I really don't think he could bring his arms any closer to his body or bring his legs closer together!

After Cade woke up, I put him at the window so I could clean out his closet (I had not put away ANY clothes of his since he grew out of NB and they were all at the top of his closet. It was a disaster) and he could watch Connor play. After a few minutes Connor decided he wanted to come in, too. So they sat there for probably 30 minutes watching daddy "make a fireplace"
They held hands like this for the longest time

Sunday funday...

I bought these longalls before Cade was even born. I was so excited to finally put them in it!

These outtakes just make me laugh. Sometimes they are my favorite.

After the boys napped (because let me tell ya..those are so necessary on sundays) we headed out to make a Sam's trip. I think you get such a better deal on their produce and we go through it like crazy around here!

1. I dropped the after nap feeding. He was never nursing more than 5 minutes and SO distracted. So now it has become Connor's feeding. The problem is, he can't stand for Cade not to finish it all. HA! It is almost a battle to get him to drink more than 3 oz. Connor was the same way at this feeding, which is weird!
2. So typical. Cade screaming at the top of his lungs. Yes, baby boy. We all hear you and see you ;)
3. Another typical. Connor all up in his personal space. Brother loves hard.
4. He wanted to hold my hand :). He is also telling me that I dropped something out of my pocket. I really didn't think I had, but by the time we got to the car he was near tears telling me that I needed that paper. I finally checked my pockets to realize that I had dropped my old Sam's card. Matt went back and found it and he(connor) was so relieved. He was NOT going to let us leave that parking lot without it! I can't believe he even noticed it fell out...he really does pay attention to everything!

There you have it. A busy, but simple weekend. My favorite kind!
