Thanksgiving 2012

Thanks to the help of a couple of comments, I am downloading the pictures to Flickr and pasting the HTML code into the post. It obviously worked today, so hopefully it will continue to work!

Like I mentioned yesterday, Cade was feeling pretty crummy Thanksgiving morning. He was so congested (but at the same time his nose was running like a faucet) that he was drooling everywhere! He was still pretty smiley, though. I had to get some pictures in his jamas, because of course Connor wore them when he was about this age as well.

He is my sweet little turkey. After he took a nap, we headed over to BeBe and D-daddy's house to eat Thanksgiving lunch. Connor had spent the night over there the night before and I was itching to see him! As soon as we pulled up (he was outside playing) I got so excited to see him and all he said was, "No, Mommy! I don't want to go home yet!" He loves staying with his grandparents and I know they all love having him!

I was so happy to be there and be with all of this side of the family. It is so much fun having all of the siblings and their families the same age.

I tried to get a picture of the boys before eating, but this is the best I could get! I didn't try to long because Cade was just not interested in anything but the grass, plus he didn't feel good. Rowen didn't like the grass on his feet (do you see how they are lifted up? So cute!!) and well for about the 2nd time in his life Connor did ok. Next time we WILL get a good picture of the 3 of them (and maybe put down a blanket??? HA!!!

We spent the rest of the day relaxing...and eating, of course. I can easily say that Thanksgiving is one of my favorite meals. I just love dressing and fried turkey!

Saturday morning we had plans to head to Matt's grandma's house for our Thanksgiving celebration with his Mom's side of the family. Cade and I weren't going to go since he was so pitiful Friday, but he woke up much better Saturday morning, so we decided to go. Nana always cooks an elaborate meal and I don't know how she does it! Sleep for 3 days afterwards?? I know I would!!!

Connor sat at the big table with us, in a normal chair (on a pillow). Y'all. He ate like such a big boy and was even patting his mouth with a napkin in between bites. I just couldn't quit staring at him! Precious, that boy!

After our wonderful meal, the smart ones relaxed in the nice warm house while some crazies went outside in the freezing cold to play volleyball. They are somewhat/ a lot of a competitive bunch, so there is no way I would play while feeling miserable full and being miserably cold. No, thank you ;) Therefore, I was one of the smart ones!

The outfit Cade is wearing was the one I bought for Connor in 2010 on etsy from Bitty Boutique. I went back on her shop this October and ordered Connor a matching one. The quality is INCREDIBLE! I am kind of dying over her Christmas ones! So sweet!!!

I still look at pictures of the 4 of us and am amazed that we have 2 boys. While it is hard to imagine that Cade is here, I cannot imagine it without him either. I am so unbelievably thankful for my little family and the family that I married into!

I'm a new follower and I am just SO glad I found your blog! How precious are you and your guys? I love, love, LOVE their outfits. My hubby and I just had our first baby a few months ago and we just love him to pieces. There is nothing in the world like having a sweet baby boy. I can't imagine the joy that two would bring!
