Beach Trip Day 7

Friday morning we woke up sad it was our last day, but determined to enjoy it and appreciate it. Draw had bought Connor a little hat from Walmart the day before and to say Connor liked it would be an understatement. He wanted it on at all times and would cry when I had to take it off for him to take a nap!

Another thing he realized he liked this week was little chairs. Now if he sees a little chair, he will instantly want to sit in it. Can you tell he thinks he is big stuff in this picture?!

Connor loving on his tan daddy.

My 4 favorite Kegley men :)

Aunt April and (soon to be) Uncle Josh

Granddaddy didn't give Connor any attention this week ;) HA!

I can easily say that the beach was the most beautiful this day. The tide was low, which meant that there was ankle deep water probably 10 feet out or so. It was GORGEOUS! I thought about taking a picture of it, but that would have required me to get up and get my camera!

We had plans to go to The Back Porch that night and while everyone else was getting ready, Connor took the opportunity to take a little catnap. Notice the book underneath him. I love my book loving little boy!

The Back Porch was, without a doubt, my favorite meal of the week. It was SO good. I got the Gropuer Destin which was gulf grouper, grilled and topped with bay shrimp and a lemon-butter caper sauce. Y'all. I could eat that once a week, easy. I will say their crab cakes weren't that great.. not near as good as The Lighthouse. I can't remember what Kyle got, but his was incredible too. In fact, I might just let him decide what I should order next year because his choices were always the best!

After dinner we went back to the condo so we could try to take family pictures one more time in the dunes. Connor was in RARE form. We couldn't get him to stay still for pictures because he kept doing his new dance, which consists of him snapping and slowly nodding his head up and down. HILARIOUS.

Oh, be still my heart. Love this picture!

Connor has to be one of the luckiest little dudes in the world. He has no idea how many people love him so!

We ended the trip with a visit to some of the best ice cream ever at Brusters. I'm already looking forward to getting my Birthday Cake ice cream in a waffle cone next year!

This was such a wonderful trip and one I will never forget. Thank you Granddaddy and BeBe for an unforgettable week. WE LOVE YOU!!!
