Growing up

My little boy is just growing up before my eyes. He is looking less like a baby and more like a little boy. This morning as Matt was leaving Connor woke up so I told him to just bring him to me in bed (that's the life, huh?!). As soon as they got back to the room he saw me and just giggled and jumped into my arms. He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed and squeezed. He even put his little mouth on my arm and made the "mmm mmm" sound. He was hugging me AND kissing me!!! I just love getting affection from him. There really is nothing like it.

Since I was so sick the morning of his party I took some anti-naseau medicine trying to feel better. I knew that I wouldn't be able to nurse that night or the next, so I just decided to quit nursing (that was the only nursing session that I hadn't dropped and I am SOOO over pumping). I think that probably didn't help with the... umm... emotional breakdown I had when we got home, but since then I am really enjoying our nighttime routine. He eats, brushes teeth, put on PJ's, read a book and then rock. He cracks me up while I am reading to him. He lays sideways and looks at my mouth more than he does the book. I don't know if it is because I am using different voices, or what, but he will stick his hand up to my mouth and just laugh and laugh! Then as soon as I turn on the sound machine and turn off the lights, he will lay his little head on my shoulder and rest. He never falls asleep, which means I get to lay him in bed and kiss him and tell him "night night". I basically float out of the room just giddy with happiness.

SOOO, while I am sad at how fast time is going, I am trying my hardest to appreciate each stage he is at instead of mourning the past. Plus, we still have a few babies to look forward to :)

Ok, so I've been meaning to ask.. how do you take two (or more) pictures and put them side by side and maybe even add writing to it? Is there a program you use? I so wish I had more computer knowledge!

Lastly, if you are friends with me on facebook you have probably already seen this, but I just have to share this story. We are watching American Idol and the duet with Scotty and Lauren is on. I got chills and asked Matt if he ever got chills. He said yes, which actually surprised me. I asked him when. He said, "Last year at the Masters when Phil Mickelson made that shot from underneath a tree." And I died laughing. He said he gets chills in sports all the time! Men and women could not be more different!

What a sweet little boy you have! And I use Picasa to edit my photos. You can line them up and create collages and add text.

Picasa will do exactly just that!

You can import any photos... then select the photos you want to "collage"... select collage on the bottom tab... you can even put spaces in between... Then you can complete collage and it will turn into a photo.

Once you are done arranging and you want to put text on... There is an option to continue editing photo through Picnik. And it will be where you can add text w/ a choice of fonts.

Then when you get back to Picasa, you can export the photo into an outside folder to use.

Here you go: www.picasa.google.com/
