It was so hot today! It is nearing the end of September and it is still in the upper 90's! I am very much looking forward to some nice fall weather, but I am afraid is it going to go from hot to cold. It does that almost every year, so I don't know why I expected anything different!
I had a lot of errands to run today, so we spent a lot of the afternoon in the car. I kept hearing Connor grunt and I looked back there to see this:
I guess he is working on his flexibility. :) When he wasn't sleeping, he had his leg straight up in the air like that.
One of the things I had to do was get my car washed. I haven't washed it since Connor was born! (Watch, it will rain tomorrow. It never fails!) We stopped at one of those car washes that you put your left tires in the thingy that moves your car while in neutral??? (HA) Anyway, Connor started whimpering as soon as we started going through the tunnel. His eyes were as big as saucers.
As soon as the machine came over the car he lost it! I felt so bad for him, but he calmed pretty quickly once I reached back and held his hand and talked to him.

When we got home we laid out a blanket and tried to enjoy being outside. Between the humidity and the mosquitos that kept landing on that cute little bald/blonde head, we didn't last very long.
When it comes to food, there aren't many things Matt and I don't agree on. Granted, I like sweets a little (ok, a lot) more than Matt does, but other than that we are food soulmates. Except for fried eggs. He loves them. I can't even stand to look at them. But tonight I decided to give them a shot. He had cooked one a little longer than normal so that the yolk wasn't running all over the plate, which made it a good first try for me. I tried it.... and... I spit it out! I never dislike something so much that I spit it out, but they were disgusting! The texture was awful and I am a huge texture person. I am just proud of myself for trying them. I can now say, with experience, that I do not like fried eggs :)
On a completely random, and less gross, note; I am thinking I want to do a giveaway. I know it seems crazy seeing that I have a total of 19 followers, but I love entering giveaways and have always said I wanted to do one. It won't be anything big, in fact I am thinking it is going to be some fall-like nail polish. Even if only one person enters, I know I will have so much fun sending it to them :) I asked Connor if he thought it was a good idea and he was very much on board!
So, anyway, stay tuned for a fall inspired nail polish giveaway!

A giveaway sounds fun!!! And I wish SOOO bad it would get cool and actually feel like fall!
Like Connor, my daughter had a melt down when we would go through car washes. I remind her of that today (she's 11). Once she got old enough I would give her a dum-dum sucker to occupy her time while the car wash was doing it's thing. Oh the memories!
I also did not like fried eggs... until I tried PW's Egg in a Hole. Give it a try. I think you will like it.
That is why I do not wash my car. Ever. Double criers (yes, even the three year old is terrified). Here's to dirty cars!
