Celebrating the Bride to be

One of my best friends, Kayla is getting married the first weekend in November and we had her bachelorette party this weekend! We had such a good time and it was sooooooo nice to get out of the house and go somewhere besides the grocery store!

Friday we started the night with a little lingerie shower at the hotel room. She got some really cute stuff!
Aren't those glasses so cute?! They are SO Kayla ;) She is seriously the perfect person to throw a bachelorette party for. She loves doing all of the silly things you do to brides-to-be!

Afterwards we headed to The Melting Pot for dessert. It was to die for! We got two different chocolate fondues. One was The Original, which is their signature milk chocolate with a swirl of crunchy peanut butter. The second was Bananas Foster, which is their silky white chocolate swirled with bananas and a dash of cinnamon and flambeed tableside. They were both so good, but the Bananas Foster was my favorite. It included 3 of my favorite things, so it didn't surprise me that I loved it!

My favorite thing to dip in the desserts are definitely the brownie bites. I am a sucker for brownie bites. They are the perfect size. Perfectly moist. Perfectly unhealthy! haha

We stayed at The Melting Pot until 12 am! I was so glad Rach rode home with me, because I think I would have fallen asleep had she not! This momma is used to being in bed no later than 10!

Saturday morning we went to one of my favorite places in Nashville. PANCAKE PANTRY!!!! As soon as I pulled up I saw Kayla with her veil waving in the wind. She looked so stinkin cute! I sadly, didn't take any pictures. A lot of the girls had never been, so I was glad to get to introduce them to the best pancakes ever. They are sweet potato pancakes. They sound weird, but they are seriously the best pancakes ever! We stuffed ourselves silly.. to the point that Kayla quickly warned us that we better still fit in our bridesmaid dresses! ha. Always straight to the point, that girl!

I had to head back to the house to feed Connor that afternoon and at bedtime. The Arkansas-Alabama game was on as well, so I got to put Connor in his new Razorback outfit!

Looking good in that red! Thanks to my cousin, Judy, who recognized the need for some Razorback red on this child! We came thisclose to beating Bama and in usual Razorback style, lost in the last few minutes. In all honestly, I am very proud of my team for how they played! I think we put up a better game than most expected!

After I fed Connor and laid him down I headed out to meet the girls at their hotel room to finish getting ready to go eat. We went to Cantina Laredo and, once again, had a great time. If you like guacamole, theirs is so good! Since my eyeballs were literally hurting from exhaustion from the night before I decided to head home after supper to hit the hay. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and didn't budge until Connor woke up!

The bride with all of the Searcy girls (Lauren, Erica and I)

The bride with some of her maids :) (Karin, Brittany and I. I had never met Karin and Brittany before, but felt like I knew them. It was so good to finally officially meet them! They are super sweet and so much fun!)

Kayla, I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did! I can't WAIT for November 6th!!!!
