Busy day and new toys!

We have had such a busy day. I am bone tired! We left the house at 9 and didn't get back until 4:30 and Connor was an angel throughout it all. I had a doctors appointment at 11 in Nashville, so there were a few stores I wanted to stop by while I was there. We have this wonderful used book/dvd/cd store called McKay's and I haven't been able to go since Connor was born. I got two Praise Baby VHS's (yes, VHS. That is not a typo!) That were only $1, some books for him (all under $6. Most of them were $1) and Beth Moore's Get Out of That Pit for $11! I could have spent hours in there, but I still needed to go to Target and Bed Bath & Beyond. When we got to BB&B I decided to just carry him around the store since he had been in his carseat for a few hours. He was so excited! He tried to jump out of my arms a few times! Everyone in the store was laughing at how active he was. While waiting in line there was a little elderly lady behind us. She was talking to Connor, but it quickly turned into one of those things where she was talking to him but it was really meant for me. It went like this: "Well hey there little man. Where is your bonnet? Your little bald head is going to get burnt if you don't put a bonnet on that head."
And it went on and on. I didn't even say anything to her because 1) Boys don't wear bonnets. 2) He was out of the car for about 30 seconds before we got inside. Suprisingly this is the first encounter I have had with someone making a snide comment, so I consider myself lucky.

When we got home I told Connor what she suggested. He was a little nervous that I was going to make him wear a bonnet, but I quickly assured him that I would do no such thing :)

I decided to pull out the door jumper the other day to try it out and Connor LOVED it! I was worried that it wouldn't support him just yet, but it is perfect!

He was also introduced to this ball that lights up and rolls around and sings. It is perfect for tummy time!

I love that little bottom!

I have a few other toys on my radar that I would like to get him. It is becoming much more fun to buy toys that I know he will like. It doesn't take much.. he is such a happy baby! I have a feeling that I am going to have quite the active little boy on my hands and I couldn't be more excited about that!
