My Christmas song of the year

Every Christmas I have one song I could listen to over and over. In high school it was Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas is You". Last year it was "O Holy Night" by pretty much anyone that can belt it out (Celine, Martina, Faith, etc). This year it is "Mary Did You Know". I like it by anyone, but I have been listening to Clay Aiken's version. Everytime I hear it I am brought to tears. Yes, it is true that it doesn't take much to bring me to tears these days, but I do think it is because I am carrying this little boy inside of me. I have never really taken the time to really put myself in Mary's shoes. I have this year and I guess that is one of the reasons this song has really struck a chord with me. I know that no matter what Connor chooses to do in life I will be proud of him, but I pray more than anything that he will be a great disciple in the Lord's Army. I know that if that is the case everything else will work out. I pray that I can guide him in the right direction and teach him the peace of God's love and guidance so that he will turn to God first in all situations.
I posted the lyrics below:
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?
Mary did you know.. Ooo Ooo Ooo
The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.

Now if all of the reasons above aren't reason to celebrate a Birthday, then I don't know what is! Happy Birthday Jesus!!

My favorite part about that post is that you love Clay Aiken's version. :)
