It's not hot at all

I don't think I have ever been so ready for some fall weather! I can probably count on two hands the number of times we have played outside since we got back from Florida at the beginning of July. I don't particularly care to be sweaty and stinky (especially when I did NOTHING but just go outside. If I had actually done something like exercising, then I'd be ok with it), but I really don't like it when I have to nurse. It totally grosses me out!

Today we had made plans to meet up with MaMaw and eat lunch with her, April, Rachel and Rowen at the park. After we got done eating, Connor and I played a little soccer. I can't wait to see him play when he gets a little older. He has learned how to run and kick at the same time and it is so cute!

It was music to my ears to hear his sweet giggle when we would race to the ball. He would yell, "Beat me, Mommy" while running to the ball. Of course, he began sweating as soon as we got out of the car. Bless ;).

I don't know how the heat does not bother him, but it doesn't! At one point he threw the ball right by Cade, so he had to go to timeout (because that is a big no-no at our house!) and sweet boy walked right up to the tree and tried to put his nose on it! I don't know why he does that. I have never told him that he had to put his nose up against anything, just face the wall.

He is starting to be able to tell me why he had to go to timeout. I think it is working for us now, but that is another post by itself.

I eventually gave in and headed over to the playground. It was vacant with school starting this week, which was nice. He ran around and explored freely.

There is also a big wooden truck that you can play in. He had me sit in the bed of the truck and said "Connor drive Mommy." I asked him where he was taking me and he said, "Hmmm... Puglix (Publix)!" I said, "Ok, let's go to Publix!" That is when he did this face and pointed his finger at me and said, "Mommy. You are not going to Puglix. You are going to Home Bepot." HA! I'll never understand why he loves that store so much!

While big brother ran around like a mad man, sweet little man was out cold in Aunt April's arms. He did his typical 50 minute nap and he was wide awake and happy after that. That is also another post for another day! Brother is not a very good napper!

Sweet little Rowen would not smile at me for a picture! Well, he would but he would duck his face before I could get it. You gotta be quick with that one! I love those sweet rosy cheeks!!!

I cannot believe he is 9 months old! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were in the hospital waiting on him to get here! He was crawling all over the blanket today and in true baby fashion, all he wanted was the dirt! Exactly what he wasn't supposed to have!

I finally decided around 1:30 that it was time for us to go home. Connor's hair was literally soaking wet and it was getting close to time to feed Cade. We got home, wiped Connor's face off and washed his hands and feet and I put that sweaty head down for a nap! I fed Cade and he fell asleep with milk literally running out of his mouth, so I laid him down, too. What did he do when I did that?

BOOM. Eyes flew open and those arms and legs started flailing with a big smile on his face. Little stinker ;) I didn't rock him and figured he would fall asleep when he wanted to. We laid in his floor and played and I love those times with him. Connor woke up after only sleeping for 1 1/2 hrs and let.me.tell.ya. MELTDOWN after MELTDOWN. You just looked at him and he would cry. Finally I told him he could take a shower and THEN eat a small bowl of chocolate ice cream and that seemed to help :)

The house was a mess and I wanted to get it picked up before Matt got home, but wanted to hold Cade, too. He wasn't fussing, I just needed him close :). I pulled out the Moby and decided to wear him with him facing out. I immediately died laughing at his little head poking out the top of that thing and he just laughed and laughed right along with me.

We are leaving tomorrow night to go to a huge waterpark resort right outside of Gatlinburg with Matt's dad's side of the family. They are SUCH a fun group and I can't wait to see them again! I told Matt that he better get ready to go down some slides with me. I haven't been to a water park in probably 10 years or so, so I am pumped! There is also a putt-putt course and a wonderful toddler area at the waterpark, which will be fun for Connor. Of course, I haven't even started packing, so I know what I will be doing all day tomorrow!

Hope y'all had a good one! And a cool one!
