We got home this morning from a long weekend away to Gammie's house! I had to work/shop at a couple of consignment sales every day on Thurs-Sun, so we knew staying there would be the best option. We took Matt to work Thursday morning and headed to Rach's house to play all day. Well and Rach was nice enough to watch little man for me while I went shopping for his fall/winter wardrobe! Before I went Layla and I decided we should have a little photo shoot! It is SO hard to get their picture. Layla does great, but Connor? Not so much. For the first few minutes I couldn't even get him to look at me! He was too busy watching Layla :)
Can't you just see the adoration in his eyes for her?! It's so sweet! They are at such a good age to play together. They just squeal and laugh and have so much fun.
He likes to do pretty much everything she does.
I'm so glad they are such good friends!
And it's funny to me how one second he thinks that he doesn't want to share the seat with her...
and the next he is laying a big fat kiss on her!
I wonder if one day we'll be using that picture for their wedding slideshow?!?! ;)

Friday we just relaxed at Pam's. I had to work from 8:45 to 12:45 and then went shoe shopping for Connor. I am having a hard time deciding what to get him this fall/winter and of course I found some I loved for $60!!! WHAT?!?! They were Cole Haan's, which explains it. Needless to say, I am going to be searching for a cheaper version! No way I am going to spend that much because he feet seriously grow like crazy!
And then she decided she wanted to put her hat in front of her face. She is such a fun, sweet girl!

Pam always finds great deals while garage sale shopping, so I told her that I wanted to go Saturday morning. She was up for it, so we left around 7 am with our map in hand to hit them up.
We didn't find a lot, but I did get a few good things. After I worked that afternoon, we met up for dinner at Chuy's for Matt's birthday. We love that place and it is, by far, Matt's favorite restaraunt!

We love that place and it is, by far, Matt's favorite restaraunt! Sunday was my longest shift of the weekend and I was not excited that I wasn't going to get to see Connor before he went to bed. As I was getting ready to leave, he woke up from his nap early so I got to see him before I left. He happily waved bye bye to me which always makes me feel better. It is MUCH easier to leave him happy. I can't imagine leaving him if he was upset! This morning he was very aware of where I was going and if I left the room. I think he was thinking I would leave again! I love that sweet boy!! We spent this morning with him showing me what he played with while I was gone yesterday. Playing with his daddy's cars that he played with as a little boy!
Pam mentioned yesterday that this doll looked like Uncle Lance. He remembered that and called him Lance all morning. I swear this child has the best memory!
One of Connor's favorite things in Gammie's house is the dog beds. He thinks they are his and even scowls at the dogs when they try to sit on them. Pam said that a couple of times yesterday she would find him just sitting in this one relaxing. The lights were off in the room and everything!

haha - I love that Connor just lounges in the dog beds!! Heck, if I were his size - I probably would too - they are like one big pillow!! I love the pictures of him and Layla - esp. the one where he is kissing her - priceless!! Glad you guys had such a wonderful weekend - hope you're week is going well:)
