Super Bowl

Like I mentioned last night, we went over to Kyle's house to watch the game. I'm not going to lie, though. I didn't watch one second of the game. Not even the commercials!

I had too much fun talking to friends, eating amazing food and watching our little man put on a show.

What really cracked me up was at the beginning of the game the whole scenario was completely backwards.

The guys were:

in the kitchen cooking! While the girls were:
in the living room relaxing!

What good men we have!!! And their hard word did not dissapoint. The food was amazing. Fajitas with homeade salsa AND guacamole (Pioneer woman's recipe. Haven't had it? You need to add it to your bucket list. ;) )?!

You can't ask for anything more!

Yum. I could seriously eat this once a week. So stinking good!

And to top it all off, it was Jaime's birthday! Her husband, Justin, had brought some yummy cake and ice cream. (of course, I didn't get a pic of the birthday girl blowing out her candles.)

Our whole group:

After the game we decided that since Kyle and Libby were there when Connor took his first "crawl" that we would try to get him to take his first step. He has really taken huge strides. He is standing by himself frequently and when he walks holding onto our fingers he is barely holding on. He did pretty good, so tonight we decided to work on it again. It is so cute to see his face when those wheels are turning. He so wants to do it, but just can't quite figure out how to do it without a) holding a ball and b) holding onto my hand with his other hand. However, I think with a little practice, it should be any day now! I told Matt we had to videotape every attempt, because I have to have that first time on camera!!

He did much better when we tried in the hallway before we started videotaping. He kept seeing the "baby" and getting distracted (we had the screen flipped towards us to make sure he was always in view)

I just love seeing my baby grow and learn!
