IT'S BAAAAACK!

What is back, you ask? AMERICAN IDOL!!! Yes, we are still watching without Simon. Matt isn't that impressed. He says it will be his last episode. I say he'll watch the entire season. ;)

So yesterday I decided to start working out again and popped in the Shred DVD, popped Connor's pack and play up and got ready. There is NOTHING that could have prepared me for it. I seriously thought I was going to pass out afterwards! I have got to get back in shape. Connor, on the other hand, had a great time! Everytime I did jumping jacks, he would die laughing. I jumped rope, he would die laughing. When he wasn't dying laughing he was picking up the toys I put in his pack n play holding them up as high as he could and throwing them out.

That is definitely his new thing. If there is a drawer to be unloaded, he is your man. He is trying to figure out how to put them back in, but he isn't quite there yet. And if he sees you loading things into said drawer, he automatically thinks you are doing that so he can unload it. What a mess (figuratively and literally) he is!

Lunch was a little interesting today. I made him something new and he did not like it. It was pasta with a cheese sauce that had little bits of broccoli and cauliflower in it. I tasted it and it wasn't great. It called for oregano and it was a little too much in my opinion. Im going to try again tomorrow, but I might just have to throw that batch out and make it again with less oregano. My backup plan was the trusty grilled cheese sandwich and sweet potato fries. Let me tell you. Those sweet potato fries are delicious! All I did was dice the sweet potato and mix them in olive oil with a dash of cinnamon and brown sugar. Bake them at 350 for 30 minutes and voila! They are the perfect amount of sweetness. Not too much either as you can still taste more sweet potato than anything else.

He, of course, loved it. He ate a whole grilled cheese and a little bowl full of sweet potatoes.

I think all this eating has helped him put on a few extra pounds. When I weighed him today he weighed 21 lbs! My little man is growing up.

Speaking of growing up, guess who mastered the sippy cup?
He probably would have mastered it a long time ago, if only I had let him. I was really bad about holding it for him since he wouldn't hold it up high enough. He still doesn't do great if it is a bigger cup, because it is too heavy. He has started saying "up" so I am trying to teach him to say cup. I cannot believe he is old enough to be talking!
I hope y'all had a good Wednesday. The weekend is almost here!

Haha! I really wish we lived closer, because we could do the Shred together and both Addi and Connor could laugh at us. And Addi does the same thing, she is a pro at unpacking things!
