The first swing into childhood

We had beautiful weather this weekend! It was mainly in the 60's and even got into the 70's some on Saturday. I had a very busy day Saturday, which I will fill you in on later, so Sunday we decided to do something I have been dying to do since Connor became more active. We went to the park to swing and slide!!! You would have thought someone had just given me a $10,000 check to cash. I was SO excited!

We started out at the swings and at first he wasn't so sure why his daddy would ever put him in such a seat and not hold him. Then he noticed the little boy beside him was laughing and having fun, so he gave it a try.

And I think he liked it a little bit.

And there are no words to describe how I felt. I soaked up every second to store it away forever.

To see my little boy smiling and laughing with joy is something I will always yearn for.

And of course we had our video camera :) I pulled it up to edit it and I couldn't take a second of it out. I knew our families would want to see all of it anyway. So for those of you who don't live to see Connor's every smile and laugh, I'd just skip onto 1:50 to hear some pretty sweet laughs :)

After the swings, we tried out the slides.

I went down with him a couple of times and then let him go down while holding his arms.

I think he liked it better when we went down together because it was faster! That and he likes anything more when we are within reach :)

Once again, nothing like a live shot:

It was getting a little cold outside, so we got everything together to leave.

Until we saw one more thing we thought he might like to play with.

And we weren't wrong!
He loved it and probably would have stayed until his fingers turned purple.

I love this picture because while he is getting so big, he still looks so small.

When we left I told Matt I wasn't sure who had more fun. Me or him! While I am not wishing time away I am SO looking forward to warmer weather so we can go do this everyday!

Thank you so much for filming these precious moments. I love watching every facial expression. He has his Daddy's pretty smile!
