Christmas in Arkansas

Last weekend we headed down to Arkansas to celebrate Christmas with my extended family. I was so excited for them to see Connor and see how much he has changed. And of course, I was excited to see them! The Tuesday before we left I FINALLY finished his outfit! I was so excited to go get it monogrammed so he could wear it that weekend. I'm not going to lie.. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out!

It looks like one side is longer than the other, but I don't think it is... who knows?! Let me tell you.. those snaps are NOT easy to put on! It is still a little big, but I'm glad I did it like that so that he can wear it longer!

Saturday morning we met Dad and Eva to eat some breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It was so good.. the food and the visit! We gave Connor his first bite of biscuit. He wasn't crazy about it. I think the overwhelming taste of butter was a little much. Either that or the texture, since he is a huge texture snob :)

You see his little tooth?!

Afterwards we headed over to Crystal's. Connor was so cute watching all of his cousins play. He would just crawl over to where they were playing and sit there watching. They were so sweet to continue to bring their toys to him, but all he wanted to do was watch them! At one point they were running up the stairs and sliding down on their stomach. Connor just stood at the bottom step watching. You could just tell he was trying to figure out how to do that too. And wouldn't you know 2 minutes later he was crawling up the stairs by himself! He figured out to use his left knee and then bring his right foot up. Smart boy! After about the 3rd time up the stairs I decided to grab the video camera and I'm so glad I did.

How sweet is that?! He sure did love them and I'm pretty sure it was mutual. Ian even said Connor was his favorite toy! :)

Afterwards it was time to open presents. It was Connor's first time to open presents, so I was anxious to see what his reaction was. He actually surprised me and was more excited about the toys than the wrapping!

Aunt Dot and Aunt Cheryl with Connor and Chloe

I asked Chloe if I could take a picture of her. "Sure," she says. And this is how she posed. I could just eat her up!

Opening his very first present!!!

An adorable winter outfit!

Right before he bit the nose on the snowman. haha

He loves cars, so this was a big hit!

His tool set! He is so funny when he plays with this. He will hit the buttons to make it light up and start playing music and just look up at you to make sure you are watching and then laugh. It's so cute!

Ian and Aiden coloring.

Everyone came over to Mom's house the next day to spend some more time together. Chloe wanted to feed Connor and I was shocked at how well she did! She just turned 3 years old, but you would have thought she was the little momma she did so good! I wish I would have recorded her sweet little voice telling Connor, "Here's another bite". So cute!

I love how Connor is holding onto Chloe's shoe.

Ian showing off his reading skills and reading a book to Connor. He did SO good!

Haha. I asked Ian to stand in front of the tree so I could take a picture of him in his karate outfit and this is what he did. What a ham! I got to go watch him in class and he is SO good! The instructor asked him to do his form (I think that is what it is called...) and he did the whole thing without missing a beat. I am so proud of him!

Connor loved him Mamaw! He reached for her the first night we got there and I told her that is a HUGE compliment! He's pretty picky with who he will go to these days!

We had such a good time. I miss my family so much and it is so good to the soul when I get to spend time with them. Thankfully Matt has an annual hunting trip in January, so I get to go back soon!
