17 weeks is not that long! 2 of those weeks are going to be spent travelling for holidays, so this next 17 weeks are going to fly by. That and after my December appointment I am pretty sure I start going every 2 weeks. I still can't believe that we are going to have a baby in 3 1/2 months.. even when he does kick me in the bladder and make me feel like I might pee on myself a little!
Speaking of those kicks.. Matt got to feel him kick last week! He was so excited because he had been trying for a couple of weeks to feel it and was getting frustrated. I also showed him how with some of the kicks you can actually see my belly move.
This week Connor became the size of an ear of corn (8.5 in long, weighing in at 1.5 lbs). By the end of the week his beautiful face is almost fully formed. What's still missing is the fat that will be piled under that skin. After this week he will start gaining about 6 oz each week, with much of that gain coming from fat. He can hear all kinds of sounds from air exhaling from my lungs, my voice, Daddy's voice and even very loud sounds such as honking horns, barking dogs, or a wailing fire truck.
Haven't you always heard that most dogs are by the pregnant woman's side the entire time they are pregnant? Well, not mine. Snuggles won't have anything to do with me! During the day she lays on the couch and searches the house for Matt at every sound. When he comes home she won't leave his side and even growls at me if I try to come over there (not all the time.. I might be exaggerating a little). I know that she knows something is going on because every once in a she will sit with me for two seconds, smell my belly, and move on. It's either that or the fact that I am in charge of all of those things she hates: baths, going to the vet, etc. Matt is in charge of feeding her scrambled eggs with cheese and ham. Ridic, I know. Maybe one day she will remember her previous love for me.

My sister in law, April, took some Christmas card pics of Matt and I this weekend, so I had her snap this one. I don't think I am going to have any maternity pictures taken, so I thought this would count. I would rather save my money for pics of little man anyway.
Random funny craving story: Last week I just had to have some chocolate covered raisins. I love them, Connor loves them, so why not? He told me that if I didn't go get them that he would not go to sleep that night and roll around and keep me up. Who am I to argue at this point?! ;) My only problem was that we didn't have any and the closest grocery store is 15 minutes away. I got to thinking about what I had in the cabinets and realized I had everything I needed to make them myself! They were SOOO good
Can you tell I started putting them on the wax paper on the left and got tired of putting them down one at a time and ended on the right? haha

First of all, I LOVE the picture of you against the tree! I think its just precious!! And I hate your dog isn't lovin' on ya! I have two labs, and one of them never left my side while I was pregnant. I was extremely sick and he laid on the bathroom floor every time I got sick haha! By the way, when is your due date??
Love the pictures of you, you look so cute!! I have to say I absolutely LOVE chocolate covered raisins...my favorite movie treat ... I can't believe you MADE them ... how cool:)
