Updates

I can't believe I am going to be 20 weeks pregnant in 2 days and still haven't done my 19 week update, but I left my camera at Rach's house. I tried to leave my purse and phone there too, but she found those before I left. I blame it ALL on the baby! haha

SOOO about this picture. I look swollen. I looked at this picture and immediately asked Matt why he didn't tell me. He was probably thinking, "Yeah, right like that would have gone over well!" Instead he told me he thought I looked great in that shirt. What a good hubby. And a smart one! About the baby (taken from an application from my lovely iPod. Crazy what all this thing can do!)
The baby is six inches long this week and about eight ounces in weight.. about the size of a large mango. Our little action figure is able to choreograph Matrix-like moves this week. Arms and legs are finally in proportion, neurons are now connected between the brain and muscles, and cartilage throughout the body is turning to bone. All these upgrades combine to give the baby more control over limb movements. Which explains all the bodysurfing I have been feeling. :) It used to be that I could only feel him/her while laying down and being still, but I can feel it moving around now too. I have yet to feel a definite kick, but based on where the placenta is, the doctor told me to expect this. ******************************************
We had such a great night last night celebrating our anniversary. We opted for a more money friendly anniversary and cooked at home. This is actually what I prefer because I have a man that not only loves to eat, but enjoys helping me cook too! It is a very rare occasion when he doesn't help out and I love that part of our relationship. Since the fondue restaurant was our favorite on our honeymoon, we decided last year to eat that on our anniversary every year. We have a Rachael Ray Spicy Cheese Fondue recipe that is to die for! It is:
3/4 lb grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 cup milk
1 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped chipotle chiles in adobe sauce
8 oz cream cheese, cut into chunks
1. In a bowl, toss together the parmesan cheese and cornstarch
2. In a medium saucepan, cook the milk, chicken broth and chiles over medium heat until warm. Add the cream cheese and cook, whisking until smooth, about 5 minutes. Bring to a simmer and add the parmesan mixture, a large handful at a time, stirring until smooth. Cook the sauce over low heat for about 5 minutes. We dip steak, chicken, bacon, bread, vegetables and apples in it. This recipe serves 6 people, so you could cut it in half and still have plenty. ****************************
Afterwards we decided to go to the movies and see Couples Retreat. It was not a good movie at all, but it was nice to go. All in all it was a fabulous night!

Our romantic fondue dinner with the beautiful roses he got me. Notice it is still light outside.. we are so old we have to eat by 5:30.. haha ************************************************************
Side note: I am having to separate paragraphs with those asteriks because they are all running together when I preview it. While editing you can see the spacing, but it disappears afterwards. GRRR.... why is it doing that??? Anyway, on a happy note I am starting a class tonight called Crazy Love at church. I have heard great things about this study, so I am very excited! Hope yall had a great hump day.
