I know, I know. It's been 10 days since the 4th of July. BUT we had a great weekend and I don't want to not post about it. This is the only way I write down all of our memories (insert me begging and pleading with blogger to not ever ever somehow delete my posts) Matt's mom and her husband were going out of town for the weekend, so they asked us to dog sit for them. We always do it because it is so easy staying at her house with Connor. He has his own room and she has everything he needs..plus I always feel like I'm on vacation when I'm there.
I'm sure Connor feels that way too because there is about 4 times the open space to play in! Friday morning he decided to do a little shopping and it looks like a ball was one of his purchases :)
He will usually pat on one side and then have to walk around to the other side to pat.
This picture just makes me happy. I love those two!
Once we got to the pool and Layla was showing off her swimming skills, she asked me to take a picture :)
Connor, on the other hand, did not want to participate for the picture. He was too concerned with where Layla was and what she was doing.
On the way home I looked back and saw that they were holding hands :) Such sweet friends!
While the boys grilled, we threw the kiddos in the bath to get all of the sunscreen off.
One of mine and Matt's favorite things to get when we are in Brentwood is Jet's pizza. Connor didn't use to like pizza, but that has definitely changed!
I mentioned earlier that I feel like I am on vacation when we are at Pam's house. One of the main reasons is the balcony. It's so simple, but I love everything about it! We ate out there every night. It's covered AND has fans so that you have a nice breeze. Sunday night we played a little Scrabble while watching School of Rock.

Your family is so precious. And those cocker spaniels are beautiful! We've got a party colored one.
