Connor's 2nd Easter part one!

We had a wonderful Easter!! I was so glad MiMi could be here with us and I know Connor was too. We actually started the celebration on Saturday. I knew with the sunrise service starting at 7, there was no way we could do his basket that morning. Therefore, we did it Saturday afternoon!

He woke up bright and early at 6 on Saturday morning, so I took him into the living room to experience a first. Sesame Street!!

He, of course, loved it.

And you know what momma loved? The oh so sweet cuddle time that came with it!

After swimming lessons (which were horrible :( )and a quick trip to Wal-Mart, we came home so Connor could show Connor his new favorite thing to play in... DIRT!!!

I found out Friday that you have to keep a very close eye on him in the dirt. I realized as I went to pick him up that he had a brown ring around his mouth and no, I hadn't given him any chocolate!

While MiMi and Connor were outside playing, I was inside baking cookies and a cake for Easter lunch. Last year one of my sweet friends, Carrie, brought me a cute Easter bunny pan when she came to visit us after Connor was born. She said her family always bakes a bunny cake each year as a tradition and we all know I am a sucker for traditions! I didn't do it last year (he was 3 weeks old.. so I did good to make a bowl of cereal), so I was excited to do it this year. I had a little trouble with it and was actually really nervous that it was going to be a bust, but it actually turned out pretty cute!

I also made some sugar cookies... love these things!!!



After he woke up from his nap it was Easter basket time!
It wasn't planned, but this became a Sesame Street themed Easter for him!

Since Saturday was such a warm day I decided that we should do something with Connor that I have been dying to do and it involved this:

It's really crazy, actually, how much I love doing these things with him.




This is one of his new things, which happen to be one of my favorites. If he wants something he will make that face and hand motion at it and then bring the hand back to his chest. So funny!

I CRASHED Saturday night at 10:30. I'm pretty sure I didn't sit down for more than 10 minutes all day, but it was well worth it!! Easter Sunday to come Thursday.. including a picture of Connor with the Easter Bunny. Something I PROMISE you won't want to miss!!!!
