2009 Review in pictures

I got this idea from another blog and thought it was a great idea! We had such a great year and I know I will enjoy looking back at this in the future and remembering each event.

JANUARY: I got in my very first wreck and got to drive this little gem for 3 weeks. Matt and I would just laugh and laugh everytime he tried to get in it. We also joked then about how this was our first van and we didn't even have kids.. little did we know that would change in a few months!

FEBRUARY: We got to go to a lot of Predators games this month. I never dreamed I would like hockey, but I LOVE these games!
MARCH: We decided last minute to go on a cruise to Mexico. We had such a good time. This was taken after I beat Matt at putt-putt!

In APRIL, Mom came to visit and brought Ian and Aiden. I had such a good time having them here and just wish they lived closer!

MAY: Besides me turning 25, May brought exciting things to Matt. HIS FIRST 3D MOVIE EVER! He loved it so much that we went to another one a month later :)

JUNE: Our garden grew tremendously! There wasn't a day in June that one of us wasn't out there picking vegetables. On this particular day I had to climb under all the foliage to get these two zuchinni's!

JULY: I swore I would never put these pictures online, but I just couldn't not put them in this post. Words cannot describe the feelings this picture brings and the memories of that day. Not only did I have these 3 HPT, but I also had 2 blood tests at the doctors office! HA! This day was the ending of one chapter of our lives to the beginning of another!

This was also in July at Matt's cousin's wedding. This was my first time in Cincinnati and the reception site was beautiful! We knew that we were pregnant this weekend, but chose to keep it to ourselves, which led to many sneaky looks to each other and giggles that no one understood. It was a hard decision to keep it to ourselves that weekend, but I am so glad we did. Those are the moments that don't come as often once everyone knows!

AUGUST: Matt turned 26 this month and besides a lot of clothes for his birthday, he got the present of seeing our little peanut for the first time. That ultrasound was another one of those moments that I never want to forget. The look in Matt's eyes brings me to tears even now. He is going to be such a good daddy!

SEPTEMBER: Go VOLS! Rach and I were such good wives and went to a Tennessee game with our husbands. We walked miles and miles in the ridiculously hot weather and even wore UT gear! Matt and I are blessed to have such good friends close by and hope we can keep up the tradition of going to a game every year!

OCTOBER: Happy 2 Year Anniversary to us! I knew the day we got married that I was making one of the best decisions of my life and I wasn't wrong!

We also found out that our little peanut is a little man :) Once again, Matt was a joy to watch during this ultrasound and that memory is something I will cherish forever.

NOVEMBER: Matt and I traveled to Arkansas so that I could attend the KO JO KAI reunion at Harding. This was the first time in over a year that almost all of us were together and it was so nice to see everyone. God put these women in my life for a reason and I thank Him for each and every one of them!

DECEMBER: This picture really sums up Matt. His sense of humor always keeps me on my toes and that is one of the reasons I love him! Here he can be seen having a conversation with Connor. He has been so involved and excited throughout this pregnancy and I couldn't ask for more.
****************************
As 2009 comes to a close I thank God for blessing our lives so richly. I know this has been a rough year for so many families and it has really taught me to not take anything for granted. To my family and friends: Thank you for supporting us and loving us. We love you all and cannot imagine life without any of you!
