As of lately

I haven't been able to post in a while because my life has been full of work and study. Matt has decided, after watching me study, that he doesn't ever want to go back to school. I am actually enjoying it. After taking my first exam in Medical Terminology I understood a little bit of the terminology they use in Grey's Anatomy. I'm sure Matt loved that I would pause it after every term I heard and explain what it meant.. haha.

Snuggles had to have her teeth cleaned a few weeks ago. They had to put her to sleep for it and it was so sad/funny afterwards. She was walking sideways she was so drunk off of the medicine. While she was there I went ahead and had them draw blood and they found that her liver enzymes were high, so I am getting that checked on again on Wednesday. I pray that everything is ok, because he said it could be a sign of liver disease if it is high again.

Matt and I were looking at something on the computer and she wanted to look also :)

She really just wants to know why I would let something be in my lap besides her.

This was after her procedure. They had to give her a liquid drip, so that is why her legs were shaved.

I started off 2009 doing something that I never thought I would do... GET IN A WRECK! I completely pulled out in front of someone (didn't see her at all, so I really just didn't look) and I was SO mad at myself. The funny thing is I was pulling into my insurance company! My car had to be towed to the shop and was there for a full month. This is what I had to drive during that time (see pic below). I HATED this car! I felt like I was going to fly off the road with every bump I took. It was actually a van and almost everytime I tried to open the back door like a regular car. Needless to say it was annoying and I was quite anxious to get my SUV back again!

There is a lot more to write about, but I will save them for later :) I will end with something I read out of Praying God's Word Day by Day by Beth Moore. It was the first day of the year and it has stayed with me. It says "THE GIANT STEP IN THE WALK OF FAITH IS THE ONE WE TAKE WHEN WE DECIDE GOD NO LONGER IS A PART OF OUR LIVES. HE IS OUR LIFE". That was an "AHA" moment for me. God has always been a part of my life, but I'm not sure He has ever fully BEEN my life. What an amazing thing to read the first day of the year! Here is the prayer that went with this:

My Father, I acknowledge that You are the Lord Almighty. You are the first and You are the last, and apart from You there is no other God. Make me witness to the fact that there is no other Rock but You. Enable me to say with full assurance, "I know not one" (Isa. 44:6, 8). You are my Lord, my Holy One, my Creator, my King. You are the One who made a way through the sea, a path through mighty waters (Isa. 43:15-16). You are the Lord my God. I desire to love You, listen to Your voice, and hold fast to You, for you, Lord, are my life (Deut. 30:20).
